One of the more exciting macOS-centric features announced at Monday’s WWDC 2017 keynote was native support for external GPUs within macOS High Sierra. As a big fan of the eGPU concept, and as someone who’s taken quite a few eGPU boxes for a spin on older versions of macOS, I was excited to try out the native functionality baked inside of High Sierra. Although you could get eGPUs working in previous versions of macOS, doing so wasn’t officially supported by Apple....

While the Harry Potter series might be known for being serious overall, there were definitely a lot of funny moments, too. The themes in Harry Potter could be pretty heavy at times and dealt with death and fear, but there were also a lot of moments of the students at Hogwarts being teenagers and having fun. Debuting in 1987’s original Hellraiser film, Pinhead (Doug Bradley) managed to utterly captivate horror fans, despite playing a relatively small role. As HomePod pre-orders began last week and some first impressions came out, we’re able to gain more knowledge about Apple’s upcoming smart speaker. One aspect of HomePod that’s gone under the radar is how the device handles software updates. HomePod runs a special version of iOS, which means it gets new updates alongside iOS. The latest software publicly available for it is iOS 11.2.5, which will likely be the version installed on HomePods delivered on February 9th....
We first talked lovingly about Sharp’s amazing 32-inch 3,840-by-2,160-pixel display in November, but now that we’ve gone hands-on, we got a full-on crush. Called the “PN-K321”, the $5000 display is aimed at medical imaging professionals and high-end image/video professionals. And me, obviously. New images from iFun.de reveal an Apple logo on the front of the building in Hannover, Germany suggesting Apple is nearing completion on the project. Development on the site started in April last year. Although the building has been covered, iFun.de has managed to catch a photo of the Apple logo whilst it is lit up — the logo is visible because the light is bleeding through the cover. This sighting not only acts as confirmation that the site is indeed an Apple Store, it also suggests that the site is almost ready to open to the public....
