J.K. Rowling may have finished the Harry Potter books a long time ago, but this doesn’t mean she’s let go of them. The author has taken to Twitter and various other outlets (such as writing a play, developing Pottermore, etc.) to expand on the canon of her series and provide more information for a fanbase who just don’t want this to die. Well, most of them. Her expansion of canon has actually been a source of controversy for many fans, since not everyone loves her covering every detail of the universe and leaving nothing to the imagination....

As evidenced by the release of Hobbs & Shaw, Dwayne Johnson is one of the busiest working actors in Hollywood today, but he’ll be clearing a spot in his schedule as he announces season 5 of his HBO dramedy Ballers will be its last. If you’ve never heard of LumaFusion ($19.99), I won’t fault you for that. I hadn’t heard of it either until commenters on our YouTube channel vehemently encouraged me to give the app a shot. Pardon me for initially being skeptical, as I’d heard this story numerous times before: “So and so has produced an amazing app that finally lets you truly edit videos on the iPad.” As a Final Cut Pro X devotee who’s often seen tethered to a Mac, I guess you can say I have trust issues when it comes to such lofty claims....

While it’s not a bad movie, Happy Death Day 2U’s sci-fi twist gets in the sequel’s own way, and makes the plot too hard to follow at times. Released in October 2017, the first Happy Death Day earned positive reviews from critics, and was a sizable box office hit for Blumhouse, earning $125 million worldwide on a budget just under $5 million. Any film with that kind of profit margin was a lock for a sequel, and sure enough, Happy Death Day 2U materialized in February 2019....

A new Watchmen villain bears several overt similarities to Donald Trump’s father, Fred. In the tense conclusion to Watchmen’s previous installment, Angela gulped down the “nostalgia” pills that her grandfather, the enigmatic Will Reeves, had deliberately left for her to find. That act of desperation sets up “This Extraordinary Being” as a flashback episode, with Angela personally reliving Will’s backstory. Viewers witness Will’s hopeful passing out parade as a rookie policeman, but are then shown the constant battle against racial discrimination that causes Will to take on the persona of Hooded Justice....
