When thinking of Harry Potter as a family Christmas movie, a few particular scenes come to mind. There’s Harry receiving the invisibility cloak for Christmas in the first film, and Ron wearing one of many Weasley sweaters. There’s the Great Hall decorated out with multiple Christmas trees, and the Yule Ball which takes place over the holiday in the fourth movie. In the fifth film, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Harry and company spend the holiday at 12 Grimmauld Place, the ancestral home of the Black family, now owned by his godfather Sirius Black....

Marvel has strung together years of successful films, but there are some flaws in their track record. Just in terms of how they structure their movies, the villains have routinely been a weak link in the eyes of many. Some movies have still been able to rise above this criticism, but Thor: The Dark World struggled mightily with Malekith the Accursed playing opposite Chris Hemsworth’s Thor....

A new deleted scene from Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War reveals that Jon Favreau’s character Happy Hogan was indeed supposed to be in the film. Many characters from the Marvel Cinematic Universe appeared in the third Avengers installment, but Happy wasn’t one of them. Favreau had a helping hand in crafting the beginning of Marvel’s long-running film series. Iron Man was the first entry in the cinematic universe, which Favreau directed and he also appeared in as the character Happy Hogan....
Solo: A Star Wars Story has a big fan in none other than Harrison Ford. The living legend is synonymous with the character of Han Solo, portraying the smuggler four times in the franchise. Obviously, a younger actor was required to fill Ford’s shoes for the spinoff/prequel, and a rather extensive search ended with Alden Ehrenreich securing the role. Without question, his performance is going to be highly scrutinized by fans, but fortunately early word is the youngster succeeds in doing the material justice....
The Harry Potter series wasn’t really about romance, but romantic relationships did take up some space in the books as the main characters got older. Since Harry always wanted a family, seeing him find love in romantic relationships and eventually start a family was absolutely thrilling. So, when Harry ended up with Ginny, many fans saw this as a positive addition. However, other people also felt like the relationship came out of nowhere and wasn’t the best choice of a romance for Harry....
It’s been a long time since Harry, Hermione, and Ron managed to find and destroy all of Voldemort’s horcruxes and save the wizarding world… but just because it all ended well doesn’t mean that we don’t have questions about this particular bit of dark magic. Like many of the burning questions that the Harry Potter fandom has, some of these may eventually be answered by Rowling herself (given her predilection for using Twitter to add to canon), but in the meantime, we’re still waiting for some of these answers to come to light....

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is the sixth movie in the franchise - and the final time the Boy Who Lived gets to spend a whole year at Hogwarts. It’s a shorter book than its predecessor, the Order of the Phoenix, but still Warner Bros were unable to cram every little detail into the movie version of events. Perhaps they just thought some elements weren’t necessary for a motion picture....
The adaptation of Harry Potter and The Prisoner of Azkaban is one of the best-regarded films in the Harry Potter series, and for good reason. Auteur Alfonso Cuarón sat in the director’s chair. The look and feel of the film changed significantly from its predecessors, just in time to match the books’ turn for the dark. Cuarón adapted with a freer, less faithful-to-the-book hand, meaning lots of scenes did not make the leap from page to screen....
Bringing up Harry Potter is likely to put a faraway look into the eyes of a super fan of a certain age. That fan has surely been transported back to a caffeine-fueled, who-cares-if-I-have-class-tomorrow midnight visit to the bookstore on a sweltering July night. Those book releases were big communal gatherings of Harry Potter fans who had been waiting years to see what JK Rowling had in store for them. The midnight releases of the Harry Potter films, though exciting in their own right, weren’t quite as memorable....
