Hermione Granger is not only one of the greatest characters in Harry Potter, but she’s also one of the best characters throughout the history of fiction. JK Rowling has done a tremendous job creating a character who is complex, generous, brilliant, and emotionally intelligent. Hermione is so many things, and we will always consider her character to be a role model who has shaped our childhood. With that being said, there are some things about Hermione Granger that don’t make a lot of sense to us....

The Order of the Phoenix combines all three of these elements to produce a group so famous that one of the 7 books was named after it. Created by Albus Dumbledore during the height of Voldemort’s power and revived when he had returned in a more modern era, the Order of the Phoenix is a group dedicated to protecting the wizarding world....

One of the headline features of the dual camera system in recent iPhones is Portrait Mode, an effect that simulates a DSLR-style shallow depth of field by intelligently blurring the background of your photos. Apple took the feature a step further with the iPhone X, adding Portrait Mode selfies and introducing simulated Portrait Lighting. While these features are currently limited to still photos, future iPhones could someday use the same technology to bring the depth effect to videos, a stunning look currently only possible with high-end video gear or a considerable amount of work in post-production....

While Hagrid might not have always been the professor with the most common sense, he does have a good heart, and he clearly cared a lot about Harry. One Game of Thrones prequel series won’t be enough, as author George R.R. Martin confirms HBO has three more prequels in “active development.” There has been a flurry of interest regarding HBO’s plans for the future of its biggest series and, potentially, its biggest franchise, following news that the premium cabler is set to film the pilot for one of five potential spinoffs. Writer Jane Goldman (Kingsman, Stardust) will serve as showrunner on the as-yet untitled prequel series set in the distant past of Westeros, which promises an adventure far removed from the events of the series set to end in 2019....

Blizzard announced today that the newest expansion for Hearthstone will be Saviors of Uldum, and the set will bring back a controversial mechanic in the form of Quests. Quests were previously seen in 2017’s Journey to Un’Goro expansion, which coincidentally also featured a League of Explorers character in Elise Starseeker, neatly tying the newest expansion back to where it draws its inspirations from. The Quest mechanic is one of the most divisive ever introduced to Hearthstone....

The wife of a plastic surgeon, Dubrow made a household name for herself when she appeared on season 7 of The Real Housewives of Orange County, but left after the 11th season ended. Hell Warders is an interesting experiment in the tower defense genre. Instead of placing players in an outsider-looking-in perspective and tasking them with placing various defenses around a specific area, Hell Warders takes a different approach. Before starting the (admittedly short) campaign, a hero character is chosen with attributes (like health and damage) similar to what you’d see in a standard RPG....

As you probably already know, the new 24-inch iMac M1 outperforms nearly every entry-level iMac previously sold by Apple. However, YouTuber Luke Miani has modified one of these older machines with an Intel Core i9 processor to compare it to the M1 iMac — and the results are quite interesting. Just like other devices with the Apple M1 chip, such as the MacBook Air and the new iPad Pro, the M1 iMac with an 8-core CPU achieves single-core scores of around 1,700 and multi-core scores of around 7,400 on Geekbench....
