Apple yesterday released macOS 10.14.4 beta 1 to developers. We’ve already run through all of the changes in iOS 12.2 beta 1, and now it’s been discovered that macOS 10.14.4 includes support for Safari AutoFill with Touch ID. AutoFill in Safari allows you to save time by automatically inserting things like your address, name, password, and more on websites. In the current stable version of macOS, however, Safari AutoFill requires you to manually pick what data you want to enter, and does not require authentication....

The video walks through how the Fusion Drive is seen as a single volume in OS X. The drive’s speed is also compared to a 5400 RPM hard drive, and the speed tests do seem to live up to the benchmarks that Apple reports for the drive. The Fusion Drive is currently available for the Mac mini announced in October and will also be available for the new iMacs coming in November and December....

As Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows was split into two different parts, it’s able to tell the story in a more in-depth and detailed way. While some of the Harry Potter movie adaptations miss a lot out, Deathly Hallows does a pretty good job at including most things. Cavill’s presence in the latest Mission: Impossible film, Fallout, has already inspired feverish anticipation and immense industry buzz. Yesterday Apple released the fifth developer beta for iOS 14. HBO’s Watchmen has finally lifted the lid on several of its biggest mysteries, while also revealing the main point of the series. Billed as a continuation of the original 1980s comic book by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons, Watchmen on TV is a far stranger and much more ambiguous proposition than either the comics or the 2009 movie adaptation directed by Zack Snyder. While Watchmen’s story of vigilantism in an alternate United States has always been subversive and outlandish, Damon Lindelof’s HBO series has reveled unashamedly in its uniqueness, keeping viewers in the dark all the while....
