Hollywood is still reeling from the multiple (and still emerging) accusations directed at the co-founder of Miramax and The Weinstein Company, Harvey Weinstein, alleging dozens of cases of gross sexual misconduct, ranging from propositioning to the rape of numerous women over the course of several decades. The New York Times published the first story on October 5th, alleging that Weinstein had paid off a number of accusers over the years, regularly using his Hollywood sway to pressure, coerce, bribe, or otherwise compel women into participating inappropriate sexual acts....

Milla Jovovich has risen as the Blood Queen in a new advertising banner heralding the upcoming Hellboy reboot. Mike Mignola’s graphic novel series Hellboy first came to the screen in 2004, starring Ron Perlman as the titular demonic superhero. Guillermo del Toro directed the first Hellboy adaptation and its 2008 sequel Hellboy: The Golden Army. While del Toro then tried to get Hellboy 3 off the ground for years, he ultimately had to abandon the project....

After going hands-on with the Late-2016 13-inch MacBook Pro sans Touch Bar, I was finally able to spend some significant hands-on time with the real MacBook Pro for this generation, the Touch Bar-equipped version. This week AT&T officially launched its new DirecTV Now streaming TV service. It was a scary Friday the 13th for Agent K and Rick Deckard, as a new champion emerged at the box office this weekend. Coming in first is Happy Death Day (read our review), which made $26.5 million in its first three days. The horror film, benefitting from solid word-of-mouth, has grossed five times its production budget of $4.8 million just in the United States, becoming another winner for Blumhouse in the process....

The Harry Potter Universe is full of magical conveniences. Lionsgate has unveiled a set of new Hellboy posters that spotlight the reboot’s various monsters and nod to the movie’s comic book influences. Red returns to the big screen next month, more than a decade after his last appearance in Guillermo del Toro’s 2008 sequel, Hellboy II: The Golden Army. The character is being brought to life by Stranger Things’ David Harbour in Neil Marshall’s relaunch of the franchise, which promises to be a bloodier, more horror-centric take on the property than del Toro’s Hellboy adventures (as evidenced by its now-official R rating)....
