Warning: Spoilers For Old Lady Harley #5 DC continues to reveal more of Harley Quinn’s (alternate) future in this week’s final issue of Old Lady Harley, as a bombshell is dropped: the newest villain in town isn’t the Joker, it’s the grown-up son of the Joker and Harley Quinn. The series, an homage to Marvel’s Old Man Logan, takes place in a post-apocalyptic future, where Harley is an older woman (still rocking her skimpy black and red outfits), recently returned from years in self-imposed exile after a new villain calling themselves the Joker has appeared....

Fans either love or hate the movie adaptations of the Harry Potter series. Though even the biggest fans will have to admit that the movies did leave a whole lot out – there was no way to include everything without significantly increasing the run-time of the movies. Everything from characters, subplots, and minor details were cut from the films. We can immediately think of some of the more iconic moments, but there’s more to it than that....

Following a release for iPad back in March, HBO’s Game of Thrones Ascent game developed by Disruptor Beam & Kongregate is now available for iPhone. The game already racked up around 2,500,000 players on Facebook and the web before making its way to iPad in March, and it comes to the App Store with new art, optimized imagery for Retina displays, and Game Center leaderboards. The developers update the game weekly and alongside new episodes of the TV show when it’s airing....

Apple Card Family Sharing was announced back at the company’s Spring Loaded event in April. Now with iOS 14.6, some of the features are officially live and bring a lot more flexibility to the credit card. And two new videos today highlight how to share Apple Card with family members who are 13 or older. The first video details how to add a co-owner to your Apple Card. The other person must be at least 18 years old and you’ll need to tell enter your combined income to Apple/Goldman Sachs....

Developer Zach Simone has today unveiled a new iPhone and Apple Watch app that tracks heart rate without activating a traditional Workout. I’ve been testing two new Thunderbolt 3-enabled storage enclosures from the fine folks at Akitio. The Thunder3 Duo Pro is a hardware RAID-enabled enclosure that can accommodate two 2.5- or 3.5-inch drives. The Thunder3 Quad is an enclosure that supports up to four 2.5- or 3.5-inch drives. The Quad lacks a hardware RAID controller, but you can use utilize software RAID at the OS level. Both enclosures feature dual Thunderbolt 3 ports, which allow the devices to be daisy-chained, and both feature DisplayPort connectivity for supporting external 4K displays at 60Hz without needlessly occupying the adjacent Thunderbolt 3 port....

Autoplay for Music The biggest addition to macOS 11.3 beta 2 is support for autoplay in the Music app. Autoplay is a feature that debuted first on iOS with the release of iOS 14. The handy feature will automatically generate a queue to keep music playing even when you’ve reached the end of an album, playlist, or queue. The final installment in the Harry Potter franchise had a huge amount of pressure on it in order to wrap it all up perfectly. Thankfully, Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part Two more than lived up to its expectations and was met with rave reviews. Bringing an end to various different smaller storylines while, of course, seeing the great war finally take place. The film did a brilliant job at making the movie feel epic in scale for the fights, while also keeping it grounded in the characters that audiences had built a connection with....

That’s the premise of Quris, an artificial intelligence company hoping to disrupt the pharmaceutical arena. The company just announced the final close of $28 million in seed funding to support its clinical prediction platform. The platform launched last year and has made quick progress: Quris is prepping a drug that addresses Fragile X syndrome (FXS), a common cause of Autism spectrum disorders, for clinical testing in 2022. According to a company statement about the drug: Quris’ funding is led by Welltech Ventures with participation from iAngels, GlenRock Capital, and others....

HBO just embraced Apple TV and AirPlay. HBO’s Eric Kessler announced at AllThingsD’s Dive Into Media Conference on Tuesday that his company is enabling Airplay on the HBO Go app. The news follows reports from last week that claimed Apple and HBO would soon team up to deliver HBO Go content on the Apple TV. The HBO Go app still requires an HBO cable subscription. Kessler did not mention whether HBO would offer a paid version of HBO Go to users who don’t subscribe, but HBO subscribers can at least now stream premium programs, such as “True Blood,” “Newsroom,” “Sopranos,” “Boardwalk Empire,” etc....

WarnerMedia revealed more details regarding their upcoming streaming service, HBO Max, and threw a ton of shade at Netflix and Disney+ in the process. The streaming service will feature HBO’s entire library, including a slate of original content as well as movies from Warner Bros.’ extensive history. HBO Max understandably views Netflix and Disney+ as their biggest rivals and they want an edge up on their competition. Apple TV+ is gearing up to launch on Nov....

HBO Now, the standalone subscription service for the premium network, appears to be a hit with iOS users, says new data from analytics service App Annie. After launching on Apple TV and the App Store for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch in early April with a 1-month free trial, the new report says the standalone service’s app “debuted at #1 on our Worldwide May iOS revenue charts” showing that the free trial converted users to paid customers....
