Harry Potter is a fantastic world with endless possibilities. The main series itself has captivated fans for years, and more recently the Fantastic Beasts franchise has been getting a lot of attention. Still, there are plenty of other avenues that the world could be exploring. For example, can you imagine the possibilities if Netflix was able to sign a contract to gain access to the world? The series it could produce!...

Harry Potter might be an epic fantasy story about defeating evil, but it’s also a story about friendships and love. The relationships in the series are varied and include friendships, family relationships, and romances. Given the fact that Harry and his friends are teens for most of the series, it makes sense there is a good deal of relationship drama, but there are also romances between the adults. While some of the romances from the series were loved by fans for being endearing, many of the other couples were just rather annoying....

Hardcore Henry is only partly successful at using the first person POV format to create a unique cinematic experience. Hardcore Henry is told entirely from the first-person perspective of Henry, a man who awakens to find himself in a laboratory with no memory of his past, having been transformed into a cybernetic super-man by a scientist named Estelle (Haley Bennett) - who, as she explains to him, is also Henry’s wife and had performed this procedure on him in order to save his life....

Harriet tells the remarkable true story of one of the country’s most heroic people, Harriet Tubman, who, in the face of bigotry and servitude, helped bring dozens of enslaved people to freedom — but how much did the Underground Railroad movie get right, and how much was exaggerated or tampered with to fit the big screen? Directed by Kasi Lemmons — who’s perhaps most known for her supporting roles in the horror classics The Silence of the Lambs and Candyman — from her co-written screenplay with Gregory Allen Howard, Harriet stars Cynthia Erivo in the titular performance, headlining a cast that also includes Hamilton star Leslie Odom Jr....

Malfoy and his cronies are bullies and Death Eater sympathizers. Professor Severus Snape is the least likely of all the Hogwarts professors to be recognized for his words of wisdom. In fact, most of Snape’s utterances are sure to reflect something negative, like how old Neville is abysmal at potions or how Harry’s fame doesn’t reflect his abilities as a wizard. Snape is actually pretty good at putting his students down, which begs the question as to why Dumbledore allowed him to be a professor in the first place....

Haunting of Hill House was a bit of a sleeper hit last Halloween season, quietly making a name for itself through ten distressingly scary episodes of television. The show received near-universal acclaim, making it a tough act to follow for the recently-announced second season, titled Haunting of Bly Manor. Instead of following up with the first season’s Crain family, the second season will introduce viewers to an entirely new story and cast of characters, based on the 1898 novella, “The Turn of the Screw”....

The Unofficial Apple Archive, a website that gathers hundreds of videos and images from Apple campaigns since 1977, has launched, and we’ve made a roundup of the weird and wonderful standouts. Created by Sam Henri Gold, the archive goes beyond what we already know about the company. It also revealed some campaigns that have not been previously seen, including unreleased advertisements and internal materials from the marketing team. Sam didn’t give details on how he got these ads in order to protect his sources, as presumably only people involved in these projects still have access to them....

The Harry Potter series didn’t ever actually feature any LGBT relationships in the books. So far, the only canon relationship from the franchise was between Albus Dumbledore and Gellert Grindelwald, but this was only talked about outside of the books. While there was sadly not any representation of the LGBT+ community, there were many opportunities to do so. There are many characters that easily could have been LGBT, as well as many romantic relationships, that would have made narrative sense....

Neville Longbottom; he’s both an underdog and a hero. Many were delighted by his changes throughout the Harry Potter series. We got to see him grow up from the awkward boy with no confidence, into something so much more. There’s no doubt in our minds that Neville was one of the hidden heroes of the series. However, the truth of the matter is, the Neville from the books is quite different from the Neville in the movies....
